Mrs. Theresa Marie Francik, 92, of Pittston, passed away Monday, February 7, 2022, at her home.
Born in Ashley, she was the daughter of the late John and Agnes Colebob Wilchek and was a graduate of Ashley High School. Prior to her retirement, she was employed in the area garment industry and was a member of the ILGWU.
Prior to its closing, she was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Pittston and their Confraternity of Christian Women and was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Pittston and it’s Altar and Rosary Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Francik Sr., who passed away on June 18, 2004, two brothers, John Wilchek Jr. and Lawrence Wilchek and one sister, Agnes Wilchek.

Son, Gerard Francik of Pittston
Son, Andrew Francik of Pittston
Sister, Regina Cooper and her husband, John, of West Wyoming

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at 10:00 am in St. John the Evangelist Church, 35 William Street, Pittston with the Rev. Jackson Pinheiro officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Duryea. A viewing will held from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at the church. Arrangements are by the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main Street, Duryea.
