Theresa Wychoskie, of Pittston, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2020, following an illness.
Born in Pittston, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Bernardine Dudzik Sokolowsky and was a 1975 graduate of Pittston Area High School. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the Wyoming Valley Sanitary Authority for fourteen years. In addition to WVSA, Theresa also worked for Hub Management and the Duryea Borough.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Stanley and Michael Sokolowsky and sisters, Mary Badyrka and Ann Marie Rowlands.
Theresa and her husband Joseph celebrated their 41st Wedding Anniversary this past July.

And finally, her loyal furry companion, Honey who was always by her side
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2020, at 11:00 am in Holy Rosary Church, 127 Stephenson Street, Duryea with the Rev. John Polednak officiating. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Duryea. There will be no viewing. Arrangements are by the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main Street, Duryea. I was deeply saddened to learn of Theresa's passing. She was a sweet girl, and apparently a strong woman, and devoted and loving mother. She is in my prayers.
