Mrs. Stephanie Koytek, of Duryea, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2014, at her home.
Born in Dupont, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Anna Satkowski Warunek. She attended Dupont schools. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the former Lady Carol, Duryea.
She was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea.
She was a kind and loving grandma, great grandma, sister and aunt. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of her many house plants. While her husband was alive, they enjoyed traveling together.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, Frank W., who passed away on September 1, 2009, son, Walter, who passed away on August 13, 2008 and sister, Frances Konicki.

Funeral will be held Monday, February 3, 2014, at 9:00 A.M. from the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main Street, Duryea with the Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 A.M. in Holy Rosary Church, Duryea with the Rev. Andrew Sinnott officiating. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Duryea. Friends may call Sunday from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. We are so sorry that we cannot travel there to see Aunt Effie, but please know that we loved her so much. David really treasured her as his Godmother! We were very fortunate to have gotten to see and talk to her 2 years ago! Prayers for her soul and those who were close to her.
