Mr. Stanley Pat Kaminski, 90, of Duryea, a guest at Mt. View Care Center, Scranton for the past two years passed away Thursday, November 28, 2013 at the facility.
Born in Duryea, he was the son of the late Stanley and Minnie Drozd Pavinski Kaminski. He was a graduate of Duryea High School and attended Wilkes University.
He was employed by the former Fleetwood Airflow Inc., Wilkes Barre and retired from Friedman Electric, Exeter.
He was a member of St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Church, Duryea.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 585, Duryea, the Purple Heart Association, Washington, D.C. and the former Plectrumeers String Band under the direction of Charlie Masters. He also enjoyed fishing.
He was proceeded in death by his wife the former Lucy Swantkowski, who passed away on April 26, 2003, six brothers, Rudolph Pavinski, Edward Pavinski, Theodore Pavinski, Adolph Pavinski, Bernard Kaminski and John Kaminski and one sister, Jean Levatino.

Daughter, Christine Kolander and her husband, Walter, of Duryea
Daughter, Jane Pellegrini of Duryea
Grandson, Tony Pellegrini of Arizona
The family would like to thank the staff of Mt. View Care Center for the loving care extended to Stanley during the last two years, whom he considered his second family.
Funeral will be held Monday, December 2, 2013 at 9:30 A.M. from the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main Street, Duryea with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Church, Duryea with the Rev. Carmen Bolock officiating. Interment will be in the Parish Cemetery, Duryea. Friends may call Sunday from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
