Mrs. Sophie Kapish, 90 of Duryea passed away Saturday at Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton.
Born in Duryea. She was the daughter of the late John and Tillie Madrak Stremienczy.
She was a gradute of Duryea High School.
She was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea.
She was proceeded in death by her husband: Stanley Kapish Sr. who passed away on September 27, 1994, grandson: John Kapish who passed away on March 25, 1988, brothers: Joe and Albert and sisters: Bertha, Josie, Regina, Helen and Millie.

Surviving are:
Son: Stanley Kapish Jr. and his wife Rose Mary of Duryea
Grandsons: Stanley and Charlie
Many nieces and nephews

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 9:30 A.M. in Holy Rosary Church, Duryea with the Rev. Andrew Sinnott officiating. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery. There will be no public calling hours. Funeral Arrangements are by the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc. 204 Main Street Duryea.
