Mrs. Shirley Marie Resavy Delaney, 91, of Hammonton, New Jersey, formerly of Duryea, passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at her home.

Born in Duryea, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret Pucilauskas Resavy and was a graduate of Duryea High School, Class of 1949. Prior to her retirement, she was employed in the area garment industry.

Shirley loved going to dinner, shopping, scary movies, her sweets and her granddogs and grandcats who always found a way to her lap. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandson, Christian. She loved her hometown of Duryea so much, even though she moved to Hammonton after her marriage.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence "Babe" P. Delaney, who passed away on November 16, 2014 and three brothers, Robert, Frank and Raymond Resavy.

Daughter, Lori Simpson of Hammonton, New Jersey
Daughter, Denise Delaney of Atco, New Jersey
Son, Lawrence Delaney of Hammonton, New Jersey
Grandson, Christian Simpson and his fiancee Kara
Sister in law, Mary Snyder
Many nieces and nephews

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 7, 2022, at 11:00 am in Holy Rosary Church, 127 Stephenson Street, Duryea with the Rev. Michael Bryant officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Duryea. There will be no viewing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 North Michigan Ave. Floor 17, Chicago, Illinois 60601. Arrangements are by the Bernard J.
