Mrs. Shirley M. Zambor, formerly of Duryea, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2019, at Allied Services Skilled Nursing Center, Scranton.
Born in Duryea, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Anastasia Barbarevech Poremba. Shirley was a graduate of Duryea High School and prior to her retirement, she was the owner of the former Zambor's Sporting Goods Store, Duryea.
She was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea.
Shirley enjoyed sewing, making jewelry and fishing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene, who passed away on February 22, 2008, her son, Brian, who passed away on September 18, 1986 and an infant brother, Edward Jr.

Daughter, Danita Klime and her husband, Jeffrey, of Clark Summit
Grandson, Christopher Voveris and his husband, James Silfee of Laflin
Brother, Edward (Sonny) Poremba of Wilkes-Barre
Sister, Marcella Borzik and her husband, George, of West Wyoming
Nieces and nephews
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019, at 10:00 am in Holy Rosary Church, 127 Stephenson Street, Duryea. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Duryea. There will be no viewing. Arrangements are by the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main Street, Duryea. Aunt Shirley was always a very kind, soft spoken and caring aunt. She will always have a special place in my heart.
