Mrs. Shirley A. Milazzo, formerly of the Crossin Towers, Duryea, a guest at River Run Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Kingston passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015, at the facility.

Born in Pittston, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen Rook Engleman. She was a graduate of Pittston High School. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the former Topps Chewing Gum Co., Duryea.

She was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea. She was a member of the Friendly Social Club and the Moosic Senior Citizens.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph and her companion, Sammy.

Surviving are:
Son, John Milazzo and his wife, Nancy, of Staten Island, New York
Granddaughters, Amanda and Lindsey
One niece and one nephew

Funeral will be held Saturday, March 14, 2015, at 9:00 am from the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main Street, Duryea with the Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Duryea with the Rev. Andrew Sinnott officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary Help of Christians Cemetery, Pittston. Friends may call Friday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
