Mr. Robert T. Salitis, 84, of Duryea, passed away Friday, February 28, 2014, at Riverside Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Taylor.
Born in Duryea, he was the son of the late Theodore and Ann Slucinsky Salitis. He was a graduate of Duryea High School. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the former Topps Chewing Gum Co., Duryea.
He was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 585, Duryea. He was a member of the Wilkes Barre / Scranton Penguins Booster Club and the Scranton - Wilkes Barre Rail Riders Booster Club.
He was proceeded in death by his wife, the former Charlotte Zita Ignatowicz, who passed away on April 15, 2010.

Sister, Mary Lou Geadrities of East Rutherford, NJ
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2014 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. in Holy Rosary Church, Duryea with the Rev. Andrew Sinnott officiating. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Duryea. A viewing will be held Sunday from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main Street, Duryea. The American Legion Post 585, Duryea will conduct military services at 3:00 P.M. Family and friends are asked to go directly to the church the morning of the funeral.
