Mr. Robert E. Sepelyak, 86, of Duryea, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024, at his home.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Michael and Helen Worsilla Sepelyak and was a graduate of Moosic High School. He served in the United States Army Military Police. He was formerly employed by the Brick Layers Union and was co-owner of Komensky's, Duryea.

Robert was a member of the American Legion Post 585 and the Duryea VFW Post 1227, both of Duryea. He loved his corvette and going to car shows.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Nancy L. Sobeski, who passed away on January 3, 2016, his son, Robert J. Sepelyak, who passed away on December 13, 2019, and brothers, Michael, George and Jack.

Surviving is:
Daughter, Shari Hill and her husband, Frank, of Pittston
Granddaughter, Jordan Zbegner of Pittston
Nieces and nephews

A viewing will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main Street, Duryea. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to, the Kevin Karl Music Foundation, 34 South River Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
