Mr. Raymond Mackowski, of Duryea, passed away Monday, December 30, 2013 in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in Old Forge, he was the son of the late Paul and Tessie Zoltewicz Mackowski. He attended the former Sussex School, Old Forge. He served in the United States Air Force. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the Lower Lackawanna Sewer Authority, Duryea.

He was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea.

He was proceeded in death by his wife, the former Marie Pakutka, who passed away on February 2, 2010, brothers, Joseph, John, Paul, and Walter, and sister, Sophie Semmel.

Nieces and Nephews
Great Nieces and Great Nephews

Funeral will be held Friday, January 3, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. from the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main Street, Duryea with the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. in Holy Rosary Church, Duryea with the Rev. Andrew Sinnott officiating. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Duryea. Friends may call Friday morning from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
