Mrs. Pauline Martina Dunay Vitek, 90, of Duryea, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2014, at her home with her daughter, Jacqueline, sister, Helen Champi, and her niece, Denise Woytach at her side.

She and her mom returned to Czechoslovakia 47 years later to visit the family they left behind. When she returned to the United States she kissed the ground at the airport and was so thankful to be back home in the country she loved.

She was a devoted wife, daughter, mom, sister, aunt and friend. She was as comfortable with a hammer and nail and mixing concrete as she was with making a dinner or doing the laundry. And, she wanted to live every moment that she had. She was a bargain shopper and beach lover. She was just as happy at work as she was at a social event.
