Mrs. Pauline Martina Dunay Vitek, 90, of Duryea, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2014, at her home with her daughter, Jacqueline, sister, Helen Champi, and her niece, Denise Woytach at her side.

She and her mom returned to Czechoslovakia 47 years later to visit the family they left behind. When she returned to the United States she kissed the ground at the airport and was so thankful to be back home in the country she loved.

A member of the former St. John the Baptist R.C. Church in Pittston, she was currently a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea and the Pittston Senior Center.
