Mr. Paul K. Vogel, 83, of Duryea passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016, at Riverside Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Taylor after a brief illness.

Born in Rochester, New York, he was the son of the late Franklin and Reba Dewald Vogel. He was a graduate of Duryea High School. Paul was a proud retired Master Sergeant of the United States Air Force where he served his country for 22 years, having served in the Vietnam War. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the VA Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family, working in his yard and dancing.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald and sister, Arlene Moss.

He and his wife, the former Linda Weers, celebrated their 61st Wedding Anniversary this past May.

Surviving in addition to his wife are:
Son, Ronald Vogel and his wife, Bonnie, of Exeter
Son, Randy Vogel and his wife, Robin, of Duryea
Son, Rick Vogel and his wife, Pam, of Duryea
Daughter, Wendy McCawley and her husband, William, of Pittston

Nine grandchildren
Eleven great grandchildren

Brother, Arnold Vogel of New Jersey
Sister, Gladys Gross of Florida
Sister, Dorothy Maros of Duryea
Several nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no public viewing. Interment will full military honors will be Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.
