Mrs. Mary (Mame) Homschek Zikosky, 87, of Pittston, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at Timber Ridge Health Care Center, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in West Pittston, she was the daughter of the late Julius and Mary Shannon Homschek. She attended Duryea High School.

She was a loving wife, mom and grandma who enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved to go roller skating, play cards, going to the casino and shopping with her sisters.

She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Zikosky, who passed away on May 31, 1981, brothers, Howard, James, Julius, Fred and George and sisters, Elizabeth Callahan, Catherine Baborek and Shirley Browski.

Funeral services and interment will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at 10:00 am in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Duryea. A viewing will be held on Friday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main Street, Duryea. Family and friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery the morning of the funeral. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Lupus Foundation of America, 101 Greenwood Ave., Suite 200, Jenkintown, PA 19046.
