Mrs. Mary Lou Winn, 86, of Duryea, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 18th, 2022.

She was born in Duryea, a daughter of the late Richard and Blodwen Griffiths Cavanaugh.

Mary Lou was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and homemaker. She will be remembered for her meticulously clean home and her amazing cooking skills. She enjoyed many years attending military shows with her beloved late husband of 69 years, Edward Winn Sr, and frequent trips to St. Augustine, Florida, and Atlantic City, New Jersey.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward A Winn Sr., who passed away on May 27, 2016; brothers, George and Joseph Cavanaugh; sister, Dorothy Lambert; brother-in-law, Harry Winn and wife, Anna Mae; niece, Linda Rizzo; son-in-law, David R Scoda Sr; nephew, David Yuhas; and close family friends, William "Billy" Graham and Jay Van Ness.

Surviving are her children, Debra Abent and her husband, Frank, of Clark Summit

Edward Winn Jr. and his wife, Mary Ellen, of Duryea
Jeffrey Winn and his wife, Jennifer, of Dallas.

Grandchildren, Melissa Galanakis and her husband, Stylianos, of Clark Summit
Frank Abent III of Clark Summit
David Scoda and his wife, Tatyana, of Spring Brook Twp.
Stephanie Roscioli and her husband, Joseph, of Duryea
Edward Winn III of Pittston
Brandon Winn of Duryea
Zackery and Ava Winn of Dallas
and K-9 granddaughter, Summer Winn of Dallas, who adored Mary Lou.

Five Great-Grandchildren Yanni and Ari Galanakis, Joseph and Giavianna Roscoli, and Maddison Soda
Along with several nieces and nephews and sister-in-law, Mary Lou Cavanaugh.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Guy Fasciana for his wonderful care and compassion over the years.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Mary Lou's name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105-9959.
