Mrs. Marleen Coleman, 71, of Hughestown, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2015, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Inkerman, she was the daughter of the late William and Eileen Gibbons Roxby. She attended Jenkins Township schools. Prior to her retirement, she was employed for over 30 years by Party Time Mfg., Hughestown.

Marleen was a loving wife, mom, grandma, great grandma, sister and aunt.  She enjoyed visiting her son and his family in Florida. Marlene also enjoyed traveling, her trips to Atlantic City and Mohegan Sun and sitting on her front porch with her family and friends.

She and her husband, Robert, would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary this September 14th.




Surviving in addition to her husband are:
Son, William Coleman and his wife, Colleen, of Navarre, Florida
Daughter, Sandy Modlesky and her husband, Mark, of Hughestown
Grandchildren, Nicholas, Keith, Mark and Karli
Four great grandchildren

Sister, Ethel Sartin and her husband, Donald, of Inkerman
Nieces and nephews
Her faithful companion Rocky

The family would like to thank Dr. Bruno and his staff, the staff of Fox Chase, the staff of Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center and the Hughestown Ambulance for the care that was shown to Marleen throughout her illness.

Funeral will be held Friday, July 3, 2015, at 10:00 am at the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main Street, Duryea with the Rev. John V. Polednak officiating. Interment will be in Pittston Cemetery, Pittston. Friends may call Thursday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
