Mrs. Margarette (Patricia) Gryskevicz, 85, a lifelong Northend resident of Wilkes-Barre, prior to moving to Duryea a few years ago, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at the home of her daughter.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Florence Ostrowski Wroblewski. She was a graduate of Coughlin High School and General Hospital School of Nursing and prior to her retirement, she was employed by Wilkes-Barre General Hospital and Edenbrook Second Ave., Kingston.

Margarette was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and Ronald Wroblewski and two sisters, Louise Comer and Barbara Koviack.

Daughter, Lisa Gryskevicz of Wilkes-Barre
Son, Charles Kearney of Duryea

Five great grandchildren

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 9:30 am in Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 127 Stephenson Street, Duryea with the Rev. Michael Bryant officiating. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Duryea. If desired, memorial contributions may made to St. Vincent de Paul Kitchen, 39 East Jackson Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701.
