Ms. Margarette Capizzi, 83, a former resident of Crossin Towers, Duryea, a current resident of the Meadows, Dallas, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2014.

Born in Duryea, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Margaret Kasmer Capizzi Sr. She attended Duryea High School. She was formerly employed by area dress factories. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Plainwell Tissue, Ransom.

She was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea.

She was a loving sister, cioci and friend.

She was an avid bowler and was admitted to the Pennsylvania Womens Bowlers Hall of Fame in 1991. She enjoyed traveling.

In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her sister, Catherine Smicherko and brother, Michael Capizzi Jr.

Brother, Leonard Capizzi and his wife, Ann, of Edison, New Jersey
Sister, Bernice Kirchner and her husband, George, of Tunkhannock
Sister, Charlotte Gaus and her husband, Frank, of Tunkhannock

Funeral will be held Friday at 10:00 A.M. from the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main Street, Duryea with the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. in Holy Rosary Church, Duryea with the Rev. Andrew Sinnott officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Duryea. Friends may call Thursday from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
