Lori Ann Kojtek, 62, of Plains, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at the home of her daughter.

Born in Duryea, she was the daughter of the late John (Yash) and Dorothy Manallas Lovenduski and was a graduate of Pittston Area High School.

She was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea.

Lori Ann was a loving mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren were the light of her life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John.

Surviving are:
Son, Brian Zimmerman Sr. and his companion, Nicole Drob of Edwardsville
Daughter, Crystal Best and her husband, Jayson of Hanover Township

Grandson, Brian Zimmerman Jr.
Granddaughters, Emma and Hailee Best

Funeral services and interment will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 12:00 pm in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Duryea with the Rev. Michael Bryant officiating. There will be no viewing. Arrangements are by the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main Street, Duryea. My sincerest condolences to Lori's family. She was my best friend growing up. We drifted apart after we got married. We were in each other's weddings and lived 4 houses apart. There are no words. Rest in peace old friend.
