Mr. Leo A. Dushko, 89, of the Crossin Towers, Duryea, passed away Friday, April 29, 2016.

Born in Taylor, he was the son of the late John and Constance String Dushko. He attended Old Forge Schools. He was formerly employed by the former Butler Silk Mill, Old Forge and retired from American Silk, Plains.

He was a member of Holy Mother of Sorrows Polish National Catholic Church, Dupont.

He lived for his granddaughter, Heather, who was the light of his life. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.

He was preceded in death by his wife the former Mary Vanko, who passed away on September 12, 2007, brothers, Adam, John, Walter, Joseph, and Francis and sisters, infant Mary, Sophie Dorula, Ethel Nosal and Ann Coolbaugh.

Surviving are:
Daughter, Kathy Marsico and her husband, Thomas, of Duryea
Granddaughter, Heather Marsico of Duryea

Sister in law, Wanda Dushko of Scranton   
Sister in law, Sally Dushko of Old Forge        
Sister in law, Eleanor Guntkowski of Duryea
Brother in law, John Vanko of Duryea

Nieces and nephews

Funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at 9:30 am from the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main Street, Duryea with Mass at 10:00 am in Holy Mother of Sorrows Polish National Catholic Church, 212 Wyoming Ave., Dupont with the Very Rev. Zbigniew Dawid officiating. Interment will be in SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Duryea. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
