Mr. Kevin J. Wolcott, 50, of Duryea, passed away Monday, December 30, 2013 in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Ronald and Shirley Doxbeck Wolcott. He was a 1981 graduate of Pittston Area High School. He entered into the United States Navy in 1982, where he served at various duty stations, including San Diego, Ca., Pensacola, Fl., Yokosuka, Japan, and finally retiring from Fort Meade, Md.

He was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea.

He was a loving brother, uncle, and great uncle. He enjoyed reading.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 585, Duryea.

Brother, Ronald Wolcott and his wife, Christine, of Duryea
Brother, Thomas Wolcott and his wife, Debbie, of Duryea
Brother, Kenneth Wolcott and his fiance, Maryann Velez, of Ransom
Sister, Pamela Vogel and her husband, Rick, of Avoca
Sister, Jackie Durkin and her husband, John, of Pittston

The family would like to thank Maryann for all of her loving care and support that was given to Kevin throughout his illness.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main Street, Duryea by the Rev. Andrew Sinnott. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Duryea. Friends may call Friday from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
