Joseph Yakalavich

Mr. Joseph M. Yakalavich, 50, of Pittston, passed away Friday, June 4, 2021, at his home.

Born in Pittston, he was the son of Joseph P. and Jo-Ann Mrak Yakalavich of Pittston and was a graduate of Pittston Area High School, Class of 1988. He was employed as a sound, lighting and back line tech for Rock Street Music, Pittston.

Joseph was a member of the Wyoming Valley Motorcycle Club. He enjoyed going to NASCAR Races, fishing and music.

Surviving in addition to his parents are:
Fiancee, Stacy Chabon of Quakertown
Aunts, uncles and cousins

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main Street, Duryea. Funeral services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family. To leave an online condolence for Joseph's family, please visit the funeral home website, www.piontekfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA of Luzerne County, 524 East Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
