Mr. John Pisano, 74, of Dupont, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Michael and Rose Arfanella Pisano and was a graduate of Pittston High School. John served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  Prior to his retirement, he was co-owner of Pisano and Pesotine Construction, Pittston.

In his younger years, John enjoyed running. John enjoyed spending time with his family, but especially loved talking about the military to his grandson, Jeffrey.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Mike Pisano.

Surviving are:
Daughter, Alyson Ross and her husband, Jeff Sr., of Pittston
Daughter, Stacy Thomas and her husband, Seth, of Avoca
Grandson, Jeffrey Ross Jr. of Pittston
Companion: Marialyce Grenevicki of Dupont

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at 10:00 am in Holy Rosary Church, 127 Stephenson Street, Duryea. The AMVETS Honor Guard will provide military honors for John at the church. There will be no viewing. Arrangements are by the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main Street, Duryea.
