I first met Jack through my brother (also named Jack) in 1970. He used to hang around Scranton, always wearing a long military overcoat that became his trademark. He had just returned from an extended adventure in Seattle. We had a lot in common, became fast friends and eventually shared a house in the Poconos for a few years. If that house could talk it would tell some wild stories. My favorite "Jack story" from those days was how Jack loved to spend time with Truman, our house dog. Jack liked to take Truman out for rides in his old Pontiac and terrorize anyone that gave him a hard time , Truman was an attack trained Great Dane that was very protective.... Jack moved on, as did I, and it was almost 10 years later when I moved to Los Angeles and by a lucky chance I somehow ran into Jack. I didn't realize he had also moved to LA but once we connected it was not long before we became roommates (again). This time it was in a villa in Hollywood Hills which became home base for many awesome adventures. Many involved his trade show lighting gigs at Ashton Tate, but the most memorable was when Jack went partners on a truckload of imported women's shoes. He warehoused them at the Hollywood Hills house and for almost a year we had beautiful women knocking at our door at all hours looking for Jack's shoes. We definitely had some fun with that! After over 10 years in the Hills, I moved out and started a family, eventually ending up in Atlanta. Jack and I kept in pretty close touch over the years and even more so when Jack got sick. I will never forget our good times together and will miss "my other brother" Jack. RIP my brother.
