Mr. John J. Barborek, 63, of Clark Summit, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late James and Catherine Homschek Barborek Sr. He was the owner of John's Service Center, Duryea.

John enjoyed flying as a licensed pilot out of the Forty Fort Airport, fishing and entertaining his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Crystal Barborek, who passed away on January 22, 2022.

Surviving is:
Son, John Barborek and his partner, Dawn Trzesniowski of Hughestown
Daughter, Jennifer Barborek of Melrose, Massachusetts
Grandchildren, Silas and Hunter Barborek

Brother, James Barborek Jr. and his wife, Lisa, of Hedgesville, West Virginia
Sister, Lori Perrego of Pittston
Nieces and nephews
Fiancee, Karina Singer of Clark Summit

A viewing will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main Street, Duryea.
