Mrs. Joan M. Yesnowski, of Duryea, passed away Friday, March 4, 2016, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.

Born in Duryea, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Valeria Roslewicz Nazarchuk. She was a graduate of Duryea High School. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the former Emery Worldwide, Dunmore.

She was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, who passed away on June 5, 1990, son, Robert, who passed away on January 6, 2007, daughter, Karen Frantz, who passed away on December 30, 2012, brothers, Stanley Nazarchuk and Paul Nazarek and sister, Connie Thompson.

Surviving are:
Daughter, Gayle Haduck and her husband, Daniel of Pittston
Daughter, Hope Meranti and her husband, Joseph of Jenkins Township
Son, Andrew Yesnowski and his wife, Kristine of Haymarket, VA
Daughter in law, Kathleen Hoban of Old Forge

Grandchildren:
David Bastek, Robbie Yesnowski, Megan Levanavage, Amy Yesnowski, Alicia Haduck, Ryan Meranti, Robert Meranti, Lola Yesnowski and Roman Yesnowski
Great grandchildren:
Amira, Logan and Aaron

Sister, Jenny Nazarek of Duryea

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 27, 2016, at 10:00 am in Holy Rosary Church, Duryea. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Duryea.  There will be no viewing. Arrangements are by the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main Street, Duryea. To leave the family an online condolence, please visit the funeral homes website, www.piontekfuneralhome.com.
