Mrs. Jeanette "Doodie" Ceresi, a guest at Wesley Village, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024, at Wesley Village, Pittston.

Born on April 9, 1929 in the Hilldale Section of Plains Township, she was the daughter of the late George and Margaret Tanistra Yonski and was a graduate of Jenkins Township High School, Class of 1947.

Jeanette was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Pittston and the Jenkins Township Senior Citizens. She lived in Duryea for 25 years after marriage, then moved to her family homestead in Inkerman, Jenkins Township.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Ceresi, who passed away in 2008, brothers, Sam, Michael, Joseph, John and George and sisters, Ann Marino, Rose Yanko, Josephine Armalay, Catherine Boccolini, Victoria Gubino, Wanda Ross and Caroline Bonacci.

Surviving are:
Daughter, Becky Grasavage and her husband, Ed, of Pittston
Daughter, Dr. Melissa Ceresi, DMD and her husband, Bob Leiser of Chalfont
Two grandchildren, Katherine and Raymond Leiser of Chalfont
Many nieces and nephews
Sister, Marion Price of Inkerman

The family would like to thank her goddaughter, Patrice Yurek, Arlene Refolo and everyone at Wesley Village who knew her and worked hard to please and care for her. Everyone at Wesley Village loved her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024, at 9:30 am in St. John the Evangelist Church, 35 William Street, Pittston with the Rev. Joseph Elston officiating. Interment will be in Dennison Cemetery, Swoyersville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Care and Concern Clinic of St. John the Evangelist Church. Arrangements are by the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home, 204 Main Street, Duryea.
