Romanczuk3

Mr. Jason Richard Romanczuk, 37, of Pittston, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at VCU Medical Center, Richmond, Virginia surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of Robert and Eleanor (Kroptavich) Romanczuk Sr. of Pittston Township. He was a graduate of Pittston Area High School and was skilled and gifted in many ways. He currently worked for Hadley Construction, Pittston where he was a Foreman Supervisor.

He was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea.

He was a very loving and caring son, brother, uncle, boyfriend and friend. He will be truly and sadly missed by all and has left an amazing and ever lasting imprint on all our hearts - he will always be remembered  as one of a kind.

Jason was a kind-hearted and generous man, but most of all, he was the fun and cool uncle to his beloved niece and nephews.

He was an excellent athlete as a child, playing Duryea Wildcat football, where he was awarded the Morris Resavy Memorial Trophy. He also participated in Duryea Little League and Teener League baseball.  Jason enjoyed playing sports of all kinds such as pool, darts, horseshoes, soft and hard pitch baseball, and especially basketball - he could likely be found at the Oblates or winning championships at the YMCA. All who had known him were aware of his very competitive nature and can't be defeated personality!

He also enjoyed watching WWE with his nephews and taking them to live events.  Jason was a die hard Denver Bronco's fan and avid Phillies, Syracuse basketball and Sixers fan.

He loved to help anyone he could and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.

Jason was proceeded in death by his brother Keith who passed away on February 4, 2006, which broke his heart.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by:
Brother, Robert Romanczuk Jr. of Pittston
Sister, Nicole Bonita and her husband, Andy, of New York
Brother, Brian Romanczuk of Florida
Brother, Jeffrey Romanczuk and his wife, Kelly, of Duryea
Sister, Brenda Romanczuk of Scranton

Niece and nephews:
Keith, Aidan, Andrew, Jeffrey, Lito and Lola

Aunts, uncles, and cousins

Significant other, Sandra Littzi and their dog Bella of Pittston

Uncle Bobby, Aunt Ellie, and family, words cannot express how overwhelmed with love and sympathy for you both and the family as a whole. Although we certainly don't see each other enough at all, you all are now and always have been in my thoughts and prayers. As devastating a loss this is, I must believe Jay was meant for bigger and better things ... of a divine nature. I know he will be looking over and taking great care of all his loved ones; along with his equally amazing brother Keith! It's the only way to wrap my heart and mind around this tragedy. I am so so VERY sorry I didn't get down to the service. I was pretty sick and as much as I wanted to pay my respects and bid farewell to my all-time favorite cousin, as sick as I was, I didn't want to take the chance of getting anyone else sick. Please know that Frank, the children and I are sending loads of love and prayers your way, always. Jason, may the four winds blow you safely home ...

I cant even absorb the fact that we all lost another friend far too soon. I cant absorb what this had done to his family again...& what a beautiful family you all are. My fondest memory of Jay is when we worked together at Mr Z's when they first opened. We harassed everyone our entire shift, pulling pranks every chance we got...& thats how I knew he was a great friend to have indeed. And his eyes fascinated me...i always told him about his eyes. Im so so incredibly sorry, Romanczuk family...I am just so sorry. My prayers to all of you XoXo.

To the Romanczuk Family, So very sorry for your loss. I did not know Jason personally, however I do know Nicole and Bobby very well. We worked together. 4years ago Jason became a part of our family. We love him like a son. Please keep him in your prayers as we do. He loved our daughter and was planning a future with her. If you knew Jason you knew he had a big heart and didn't know the word no. He was there for anyone who needed help. This world will truly miss him, but not as much as Sandy, Bella and his family. Rest in peace Jason you earned it and we will see you again.
