Mr. James Slusark, 78, of Duryea, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, June 2, 2025, at Highland Manor, Exeter.
Born in Avoca, he was the son of the late Joseph and Catherine Williams Slusark and attended Avoca Schools. Prior to his retirement, he dedicated 24 years of his career to the Tobyhanna Army Depot.
James was a beloved husband, brother and uncle, his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He was an active member of the Westside Social, Avoca and an avid Penn State fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former, Helen McClosky McClernon Slusark, who passed away on November 6, 1998, brother, Michael Slusark and godson, Joseph Slusark.

Sister, Mary Kay Sutkowski and her husband, Stephen, of Hughestown
Brother, Joseph Slusark and his wife, Rose, of Avoca
Nieces and nephews
Private funeral services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family in St. Mary's Cemetery, Avoca. There will be no viewing.
