Mr. James (Jim) P. Chropowicki, 62, of Duryea, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at his home.
Born in Pittston, on January 29, 1964, he was the son of the late Peter and June Barlik Chropowicki and was a graduate of Pittston Area High School, Class of 1982, NPW Medical Center School of Nursing, Class of 1985 and King's College. He was currently employed as a care manager for UPMC, based in Pittsburgh. He formally owned and operated United Karate, Pittston.
He was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea.
Surviving is his wife, the former Ada Lutchko

Daughter, Julie Chropowicki and her husband, Zach McCabe, of Moosic
Sister, Jane Chropowicki of Old Forge
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 10:00 am at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 127 Stephenson Street, Duryea. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no viewing.
