Mr. James (Jamie) Yachna, 58, of Duryea, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Wilkes Barre General Hospital.

Born in Pittston, he was the son of Johanna Yachna of Duryea.

Jamie was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea.

Jamie loved to play with his toys, especially his puzzles. He enjoyed eating any meal that his mom cooked for him and loved to help her doing things around the house. He also enjoyed sitting on the front porch watching the cars and trucks go by.

He was preceded in death by aunts and uncles, especially his aunts, Loretta and Gertrude Yachna, who both help raise him as their own son.

A viewing will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am in Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 127 Stephenson Street, Duryea. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am with the Rev. Michael Bryant officiating. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Duryea. Arrangements are by the Bernard J.
