Mr. Jack Reese Scheatzle, 88, of Duryea, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2024, at Allied Meade Street Hospice, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Duryea, he was the son of the late John and Beatrice Simmons Scheatzle and was a graduate of Duryea High School.

He was preceded in death by his wife the former, Theresa Ann Czeronka, who passed away on April 15, 2022, brothers, Alyn, Glenn, Dennis and Kenneth and sister, Sandra Sochovka.

Surviving are:
Son, John Scheatzle and his wife, Candy, of Swoyersville
Nieces and nephews

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main Street, Duryea. Funeral services and entombment will be private at Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Avoca Ambulance Association, 740 Main Street, Avoca, PA 18641.
