Mr. Ivan NJ Tylawsky, 77, of Ambler, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Jefferson Abington Hospital, Abington, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Duryea, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Loretta Kotnaroski Tylawsky. He was a graduate of Duryea High School, Class of 1963 and Cornell University, Class of 1967. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Prior to his retirement, Ivan was employed as the Director of Economic Development for the State of Pennsylvania.
In his younger years, Ivan played American Legion High School Baseball and led his team to two consecutive State Championships two years in a row. He was an avid gardener, who enjoyed making things beautiful for other people to enjoy.
He is survived by his wife, the former Marsha Hastie
Son, Nick Tylawsky and his wife, Alicia Patricia Flores, of Gwynedd
Three grandchildren:
Nicholas Donald, Carolina and Sofia
Brother, Paul Tylawsky and his wife, Theresa, of Shohola
Nieces and nephews
