Mrs. Hermina Shoback, 91 of Duryea passed away Friday November 2nd at home.
Born in Duryea. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Catherine Kenia Kurek. She was a graduate of Duryea High School. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the V.F.W. Post 1227, Duryea for many years.
She was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Michael who passed away on June 4, 1970 and her sister Celia Lech.

Son: Francis Shoback and his wife Candace of Clark Summit
Grandson: Gregory Shoback
Granddaughter: Catherine Kramer and her husband Andrew
Nephew: Joseph Lech and his wife Susan
Niece: Barbara Stamer and her husband Mark
Niece: Kathy Burdette

Funeral will be held Monday at 9:00 A.M. from the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc. 204 Main Street Duryea with the Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 A.M. in Holy Rosary Church, Duryea with the Rev. Andrew Sinnott officiating. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Duryea. Friends may call Sunday from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The family would like to thank Compassionate Care Hospice for the excellent care that Hermina received.
