Mrs. Helen Marie Piorkowski, 88, of Duryea, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018, at Riverside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Taylor.

Born in Duryea, Helen was the daughter of the late Peter and Helen Bukowski Lesczynski. She was a graduate of Duryea High School. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the area garment industry.

Helen was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish and the Women's Society of the church, Duryea.

She was a loving mom and grandma and enjoyed putting puzzles together.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard (Perk) Piorkowski, who passed away on April 22, 2002, her son, Robert Piorkowski, who passed away on April 2, 2016 and several brothers and sisters.

Surviving are:
Son, Michael Piorkowski and his wife, Susann, of Archbald
Two granddaughters
Two grandsons

Brother, Stanley Lesczynski and his wife, Nancy, of Syracuse, New York
Sister, Jenny Stuccio of Pittston
Nieces and nephews

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at 9:30 am in Holy Rosary Church, 127 Stephenson Street, Duryea. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Duryea. There will be no viewing. Arrangements are by the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main Street, Duryea.
