George L. Kobal

Mr. George L. Kobal, 78, of Ransom Township, passed away Friday, February 5, 2021, at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore.

Born in Elmhurst, he was the son of the late George and Mary Krifka Kobal and was a graduate of Moosic High School. George served in the United States Army and retired from the former Topps Chewing Gum Co., Duryea.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Walter Kobal and sister, Paulette Sydor.

Surviving are his wife, the former Veronica Hoover.

Brother, Eugene Kobal and his wife, Patricia, of Erie
Sister, Eleanore Skuban of Port St. Lucie, Florida
Sister, Barbara Martin of Charlotte, North Carolina

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no viewing. Arrangements are by the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main Street, Duryea. I am a first cousin with Lenny.. My mom and his mom were sisters. We live in on Long Island now... We would visit PA several times a year to see family and I loved it.... I am so very sorry we did not stay connected.... and so very sad for Lenny's family...May our Great God continue to comfort you...
