Mr. Francis L. Collins, 82, of Hughestown, passed away Monday, August 6, 2018, at the Gardens at Wyoming Valley, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Duryea, Francis was the son of the late Charles and Rose Brennan Collins. He was a graduate of Duryea High School and served in the United States Army. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the former Gichner, Duryea.

He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Caroline Frew, who passed away on August 1, 2009, brothers, Robert, Jerome, Charles, James, Gerald, Robert and John and sisters, Renie Collins, Shirley Webb and Mary Sworen.

Surviving are twin daughters:
Kimberly Taddei of Pittston Township
Son in law, Randolph Taddei of Wyoming
Renee Matalenas and her husband, George, of Dupont

Granddaughters:
Kayla Marie Taddei
Kristina Lynn Taddei

Nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 10, 2018, at 9:30 am in St. John's Cemetery, the corner of Phoenix and Evan Street, Duryea. The Greater Pittston AMVETS will conduct military services. There will be no viewing. Arrangements are by the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main Street, Duryea.
