Emilene Costantino

Mrs. Emilene Ann Costantino, 82, of Duryea, entered into eternal rest Sunday, January 8, 2023, at Wesley Village, Pittston.  She is with her beloved husband, Frank (Francesco) Costantino once more, who preceded her in death on April 12, 2021.

Born in Pittston, she was the daughter of the late Ernesto and Helen Broccio Sicilio. She was a graduate of Pittston Area High School and Empire Beauty School.

Emilene was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea. She enjoyed dancing with her husband, cooking and entertaining, and was a proud member of the Italian American Club. Her favorite television shows were Lawrence Welk and the Pennsylvania Polka.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and welcomed both family and friends into her home and into her heart.

Surviving are:
Daughter, Teresa Barbarevech and her husband, Dr. Christopher Barbarevech, of Moosic
Daughter in law, Karen Rother of Ashley
Granddaughter, Dr. Kristiana Barbarevech of New York
Granddaughter, Blair Ann Costantino of North Carolina
Grandson, FJ Costantino of North Carolina
Granddaughter, Karissa Barbarevech and her wife, Shaelyn, of Philadelphia

Brother, Patrick Sicilio and his fiancee, Robin Long, of Laflin
Brother in law, sisters in law, several godchildren and many nieces and nephews in the United States and Italy.

The family would like to thank the staff of Wesley Village and Hospice of the Sacred Heart for the care and compassion that was shown in Emilene and her family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at 11:30 am in Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 127 Stephenson Street, Duryea. Entombment will be in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst. A viewing will be held on Thursday morning at the church from 9:30 am until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 600 Baltimore Drive, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702 or Wesley Village, 209 Roberts Road, Pittston, PA 18640.
