Mrs. Elizabeth L. Warunek, of Duryea, passed away Friday, October 10, 2014 in Riverside Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Taylor.

Born in Duryea, she was the daughter of the late John and Lucy Fafinski Faulent. She attended Duryea Schools. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the former Topps Chewing Gum Co., Duryea.

She was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who devoted her life to her family.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Walter V. Warunek, who passed away on April 2, 1958, four brothers, Joseph, Edward, Anthony and Louis and one sister, Gertrude Uhrin.

Daughter, Christine Paolini and her husband, Louis, of Bear, Delaware
Daughter, Elaine Liccardone and her husband, John, of Old Forge

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at 9:30 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Duryea with the Rev. Andrew Sinnott officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Duryea. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main Street, Duryea.
