Mrs. Eleanor Gorcenski, 84, of Pittston, passed away Monday, July 25, 2022, at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore.


Born in Pittston, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Mary Barett Lonser and was a graduate of Pittston Central Catholic, Class of 1956. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by O-Z Gedney, Pittston Township.


Eleanor was a loving mom, grandma, great grandma, great great grandma, sister and friend. She enjoyed doing word search puzzles and spending as much time with her family as she could.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. Gorcenski, who passed away on December 29, 1998.

Daughter: Kathy Ponas and her husband, Matthew, of Taylor

Private funeral services and interment will be held in Mt. View Cemetery, Harding at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Bernard J.
