Ms. Elaine Jane Panuski, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Allied Services Hospice Center, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Pittston, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Mary Rose Golenski Panuski and was a graduate of Pittston Area High School and Misericordia University. Prior to her retirement, she taught ESL in the Philadelphia School District.

Elaine was a member of St. Jude Parish, Mountain Top. She loved to collect gemstones and crystals and was a Reki Master. When her nieces and nephews were younger, she would always give them their school supplies, so they were ready for the first day of class as well as throughout the year.

She was preceded in death by her two brothers, John and Robert Panuski.

Sister, Jeanne Jansen of Bridgeport
Sister, Linda Kastreva and her husband, Leo, of Mountain Top
Sister-in-law, Anita Panuski of West Wyoming

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 10:00 am in Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 127 Stephenson Street, Duryea with the Rev. Michael Bryant officiating. Interment will be Holy Rosary Cemetery, Duryea. A viewing will be held on Saturday morning from 9:30 am to 10:00 am at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Allied Services Hospice Center, 200 South Meade Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702. Arrangements are by the Bernard J.
