Mr. Edward A. Koytek, 85, of Bear Creek Township, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at his home.

Born in Duryea, he was the son of the late Walter and Josephine Ryzner Koytek. He was a graduate of Duryea High School. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the former Plainwell Tissue, Ransom.

He was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea.

He was a member of the Assumpta Council 3987 of the Knights of Columbus and a 4th Degree of Our Lady of Czestochowa Assembly 1928 of the Knights of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, John, Frank and Stanley and sister, Theresa Enkulenko.

Funeral will be held Saturday, April 29, 2017, at 9:00 am from the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main Street, Duryea with the Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in Holy Rosary Church, 127 Stephenson Street, Duryea. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Bear Creek. Friends may call Friday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 127 Stephenson Street, Duryea, PA 18642.
