Mr. Edmund P. Mlodzienski, 87, of Duryea, passed away Friday, September 15, 2023, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.

Born in Dupont, he was the son of the late Walter and Kathryn Nalepa Mlodzienski and was a graduate of St. John's High School. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Insalaco's and Komensky's.

He was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing and working in his garden.

He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Mlodzienski, who passed away on August 21, 1989 and several brothers and sisters.

Surviving are his wife, the former Leona Wrazien
Son, David Mlodzienski and his wife, Marilyn, of Duryea
Son,Tom Mlodzienski and his wife, Melinda, of Rochester, New York
Son, Ron Mlodzienski and his wife, Barb, of Jenkins Township

Grandchildren:
Michael Jr., Matthew, Zack, Kathryn and Kyle

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at 9:30 am in Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 127 Stephenson Street, Duryea with the Rev. Michael Bryant officiating. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Duryea. Family and friends are asked to go directly to the church the morning of the funeral. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main Street, Duryea.
