Mr. David E. Morris, 64, of Jenkins Township, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late George T. and Rita Clara Lokuta Morris and was a graduate of Pittston Area High School. He was a Peace Time veteran in United States Navy. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the Social Security Administration, Wilkes-Barre.
David was a member of St. Maria Goretti Church, Laflin. He was a member of the Greater Pittston Knights of Columbus Council 372 and the Lithuania Club, Pittston. David was a hard-working family man who enjoyed listening to music, reading, watching movies and golfing. He was an avid Miami Dolphins and New York Mets fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Thomas Dessoye

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 10:00 am in St. Maria Goretti Church, 42 Redwood Drive, Laflin with the Rev. Alex Roche officiating. Interment will be held in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. A viewing will be held on Tuesday morning from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at the church. The Parish Rosary Group will recite the Divine Mercy Chaplet and Rosary in the church 1/2 hour before the funeral mass. All are invited to join them. Arrangements are by the Bernard J. Dave was one of the first people I met at Techneglas. We became friends almost immediately. Dave had that effect on people. Thank God for Facebook as we were able to stay in touch since the plant closed. And we met at Disney Wotld and Sea World when I was living n Florida. I also got to meet his wonderful wife Mary Beth and his kids Kala and Conner on that visit. prayers for the family and rest in eternal peace my friend. It was a pleasure to have you as a friend .
