Mr. Constantine Mazaleski, 88, formerly of Duryea, passed away Friday, December 18, 2020, at Highland Manor, Exeter.
Born in Taylor, having grown up on the family farm in Newton, he was the son of the late Henry and Esther Johnson Mazaleski. A graduate of Newton High School, Constantine was employed by Schott Optical (Duryea) for 20 years prior to his retirement.
He was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea.
Constantine was a selfless father who loved spending time with his family. Especially enjoying his grandchildren’s visits, he looked forward to attending all of their many activities and events. He also enjoyed spending summer evenings at Rail Riders baseball games with his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife the former, Joan Nowakowski, who passed away on July 19, 2013, daughter, JoAnn Mazaleski who passed away on August 10, 1991, and brother, Charles (Stanley) Mazaleski who passed away on February 8, 2008.

Granddaughter, Julie Mazaleski
Brother, Robert Mazaleski of Florida
Sister, Mary and her husband, Greg McNeill, of Harleysville PA

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at 9:30 am in Holy Rosary Church, 127 Stephenson Street, Duryea, with the Rev. John Polednak officiating. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Duryea. There will be no viewing. Arrangements are by the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main Street, Duryea. Constantine Mazeleski was my cousin. He was married to my Godmother, Joan Mazeleski. Hank was a lot of fun to be around. Both Hank and Joanie were special people. They will both be missed. They are together now.
