Mrs. Claire M. Cohowitz, 81, of Voorhees, New Jersey, and formerly of Duryea, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2017.

She was a graduate of Duryea High School.

She worked for a number of years in the garment industry and for over 30 years was employed by the former Nesbitt Memorial Hospital System, Kingston.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter S. Cohowitz, who passed away on February 7, 2014.

Surviving are:
Daughter, Cheryl Bravyak and her fiance William Lohdamm

Grandson, James Bravyak and his wife, Laura
Granddaughter, Jessica Bravyak

Great grandsons, James Hunter Bravyak and Grant Thomas Bravyak

Funeral will be held on Monday, January 23, 2017, at 10:00 am from the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main Street, Duryea with the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in Holy Rosary Church, 127 Stephenson Street, Duryea. Interment will be in Marcy Cemetery, Duryea. Friends may call Monday morning from 8:00 am to 10:00 am at the funeral home.
