Bradley G. Patton, 55, of Luzerne, PA passed away unexpectedly on February 10th, 2025.
He was born on October 8th, 1969, to the late Roderick G. Patton, and the late Mary Y. (Steinberg) Patton. He was the loving brother of Steven M. Patton of Pittston, PA and Daniel R. Patton of West Wyoming, PA.
Brad graduated from Wyoming Valley West High School with the class of 1987 and went on to college, earning his Bachelor of Arts in Communications from King’s College in 1991.
Brad loved music, any song from any genre, but his favorite genre was always Classic Rock. His favorite bands were The Rolling Stones and the Beatles. He made a living most of his adult life writing concert reviews and interviewing musicians for The Times Leader. He would sing along to any song that came on the radio, and could tell you ten facts about any band or musician that he heard. He was an On-Air Personality for 88.5 WRKC Radio for King’s College and WNAK-AM playing his favorite tunes and sharing his expansive knowledge of musicians. He had an impressive collection of records and loved to share his enthusiasm for music with everyone. He was truly the life of any party if there was music and a microphone to sing karaoke on.
He loved sports, especially baseball and the Cincinnati Reds. He collected baseball cards with his brother Dan and nephew Cody, and they went to baseball games as often as they could. He worked as a sports correspondent for the Times Leader early on in his career covering high school and small college football, basketball, swimming, and golf, and was a full-time Sports Writer for a weekly publication.
He loved to play cards with his family, particularly Pitch. They played cards together almost every weekend and he played in card leagues and tournaments in the area alongside his family. He would always have the card you needed if you were his partner, which always made the other team mad, but he had the most contagious laughter and smile and you could never be upset with him for too long. Every single moment spent with Brad was full of nothing but laughter and great memories.
Remaining to cherish Brad’s memory are his brother Steve Patton, and wife Stacy (Ide) Patton; his brother Dan Patton, and wife Susan (Welliver) Patton; his nephew Cody Patton, and wife Grace (Orzello) Patton; his niece Karlee (Patton) Cadwalder, and husband Ryan Cadwalder; his niece Emily Schneider; his great-niece Charleigh and great-nephew Brooks. He will truly be missed by his family, he was one in a million.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main Street, Duryea. To leave an online condolence for Bradley's family, please visit the funeral home website, www.piontekfuneralhome.com.

I graduated with Brad from high school, it breaks my heart to see any of my fellow classmates pass away, especially at a young age, so much to live for, so much unaccomplished. I'm so sorry for your loss, may Brad rest in peace, and may God bless and embrace your family with His love, peace, and joy.
