Mr. Bernard M. Kremitske, 87, of Duryea, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at Wesley Village, Pittston.
Born in Duryea on May 18, 1930 he was the son of the late Martin and Mildred Poska Kremitske. He was a graduate of Duryea High School, Class of 1948, attended Columbia University and studied at the Art Students League of New York. He served in the United States Army, having attained the rank of Sergeant First Class, during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the American Society of Authors, Composers and Publishers in New York City.
He was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea.
Bernie was a landscape painter who had his work shown in New York City and Long Island. While living in New York City, Bernie was the devoted owner of his two spaniels, Spike and Toro.
He was preceded in death by his brother John E. Kremitske.
