Mr. Bernard J. Kasulis, 81, of Moosic, passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2018.

Bernie was born on January 16, 1937, son of the late Claire Beckley and William Kasulis. He graduated from Duryea High School, and prior to his retirement, was employed by Owens Illinois and Schott Optical.

In his younger years, Bernie was a singer for the Duryea Teenagers who went on to win a National Championship, and as a singer and musician he recorded a single with his band, The Corvairs. Bernie's joys in life were spending time with his family and friends. He was also an avid fisherman, sports fan and was known for his Rodney Dangerfield impressions.

Daughter, Claire Buxter and husband, Rick, of Monroeville
Daughter, Carmella Wozniak of Pittston Township
Daughter, Charlene Lombardo and husband, Sam, of Pittston
The mother of his children, Carmella Kasulis of Pittston

Grandchildren:
Kristen Toner and her husband, Robert
Cassandra Buxter
Richard Buxter

Brother, William Kasulis of Moosic

Funeral will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at 9:15 am from the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main Street, Duryea with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Divine Mercy Parish, 312 Davis Street, Scranton. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Duryea. A viewing will be held on Friday evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
