Mr. Allan Joe Gima, 68, of Duryea, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 3, 2025.

Born in Pittston, he was the son of the late Joseph and Catherine Rebovich Gima. He was a graduate of Pittston Area High School, Class of 1974. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a mechanic and also worked in an area dress factory.

Allan was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea. He was a social member of the V.F.W. Post 1227, Duryea.

Allan enjoyed watching the Pittsburg Pirates and Washington Commanders. He was an avid bowler, loved to go fishing, listening to music, cooking, watching western movies and going to flea markets. He always enjoyed the simple things in life and could fix anything that was put in front of him. He is going to be deeply missed by his wife and two sons.

He and wife, the former Boguslawa Haldas, would have celebrated their 35th Wedding Anniversary this July.

The family would like to thank Compassus Hospice for all the care and concern that was given to Allan and his family during this time.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at 9:30 am in Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 127 Stephenson Street, Duryea with the Rev. Michael Bryant officiating. Interment will be in St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Pittston. There will be no viewing. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Arrangements are by the Bernard J.
